National Day of Prayer Event
National Day of Prayer 2020: Lakemore Village Prayer Caravan
A prayer caravan will leave Lakemore United Methodist Church shortly after noon on Thursday, May 7, 2020, and drive through most of the streets of the Village of Lakemore, excluding the dead-end ones. Lakemore Police Chief Ken Ray will lead the Prayer Caravan and expects to pass most Lakemore homes by 1 p.m. Lakemore Fire Chief Brett Reinbolt will be at the end of the caravan. Residents of Lakemore may participate in the event by staying at home and watching the caravan drive by. Please stay at least 6 feet from the street, so that vehicles can have windows down and keep with social distancing protocol. Lakemore residents and anyone in the Prayer Caravan are encouraged to make signs to display in their yards or in their vehicles, briefly saying what they are praying for, or that they are simply praying. Residents of surrounding areas are also invited to join in the Prayer Caravan. Those who would like to participate are to meet at noon at Lakemore United Methodist Church, 1536 Flickinger Rd., Akron, Ohio (at the corner of Flickinger and Sanitarium roads). Please stay in your vehicles. A brief word of instruction will be given before departure. Drivers and passengers will pray as they go.
Parking Lot Worship
We will continue the parking lot worship on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. The service will be done from the front of the pavilion. You can park in the lower parking lot and the west end of the lot on the church level.
